Humans feel an inbuilt joy when they turn
the concepts of their mind into visual images…they
are filled with aesthetic delight! Sheer love of life also
can be a driving force for art: the desire and need to hold
on to a precious object or a triumphant moment that otherwise
would surely fade. It is for this reason that the children
draw over and over again their dog and their house.
So everybody is really , in his or her bones, an artist.
That is why in ART on Hixon St. STUDIO
we designed a program that introduces the student to the
world of colour, textures, shapes and light. In class we
encourage our students to explore their inner world and
give them the tools to express themselves through drawing,
painting, sculpture and photography.
Patricia Carrasquilla is owner and teacher of ART
on Hixon St. STUDIO, she welcomes children, teens
and adults to visit her Studio and enjoy the adventure of
art.
